Data Deletion Instructions

At Gaurav Agarwal (doing business as Gavi Ventures), we respect your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request deletion of your data from our systems.
What Data We Store
When you use our Gavi WhatsApp Marketing app, we store:
- Your Shopify store information
- WhatsApp Business Account connection details
- Message history and conversation data
- Customer contact information from your store
- Message templates you've created
- Analytics and usage data
How to Request Data Deletion
Option 1: Uninstall the App (Automatic Deletion)
When you uninstall the Gavi WhatsApp Marketing app from your Shopify store:
- Go to your Shopify Admin
- Navigate to Apps
- Find Gavi WhatsApp Marketing
- Click "Delete" or "Uninstall"
Upon uninstallation, we will automatically delete your data within 30 days.
Option 2: Email Request
Send an email to hello@gaviventures.com with:
- Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"
- Your Shopify store URL
- The email address associated with your account
- Specify if you want complete deletion or specific data removed
Processing Time: We will process your deletion request within 30 days and send you a confirmation email once completed.
What Happens After Deletion
Once your data is deleted:
- All your store settings will be removed
- Message history and conversations will be permanently deleted
- Customer data associated with your account will be removed
- Message templates will be deleted
- Analytics data will be anonymized or deleted
Data We Cannot Delete
Please note that we cannot delete:
- Data required for legal compliance or fraud prevention
- Anonymized aggregate data used for analytics
- Data stored by third parties (Shopify, Meta/WhatsApp) - you must contact them directly
- Backup data (automatically purged within 90 days)
Facebook/Meta Data
If you connected your WhatsApp Business Account through Facebook Login, you can also manage your data through Facebook:
- Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites
- Find "Gavi WhatsApp Marketing"
- Click "Remove" to revoke access
